The parish church was built in the 1980s and 1990s, although the erection of a new church in this part of Krynica-Zdrój was planned as early as the 1930s. Today, the church also hosts concerts of religious and classical music.

The parish house of the Servite Sisters of the Blessed Virgin Mary was built first; the present monumental church, with its white walls and unusual shape topped with a cross, was built between 1982 and 1995. Its design in the shape of a boat was made in 1980 by Ewa and Jacek Gyurkovich. A parish was established in 1980 and the foundation stone, consecrated by Pope John Paul II in Krakow, was laid in 1985. The new church was consecrated by Bishop Józef Życiński in 1995.

In the spacious interior of the church, designed by Ewa and Jacek Gyurkovich, the central place is occupied by the presbytery with tabernacle with a stained-glass cross above them, which when exposed to sunlight amazes with its play of colours. The stained-glass windows designed by Bolesław Szpecht were made in 2000, at the Stained Glass Workshop of Anna and Janusz Zarzycki. On the wall near the entrance is a plaque commemorating Father Władysław Gurgacz, a Jesuit priest and chaplain of the Servite Sisters. The Stations of the Cross were made by the folk sculptor Józef Citak. The church houses the relics of Saint Anthony, Blessed Father Jerzy Popiełuszko, Saint Father Maximilian Kolbe, Saint Daniel Komboni, Blessed Jan Beyzym and Saint John Paul II.
